toft group executive searches
Career day this year was very interesting, fun, and eye-opening. I really enjoyed my experience shadowing Mrs. Chung at the Toft Group Executive Search. Mrs. Chung is the Chief Financial Officer among other responsibilities. I got to walk around the corporate offices and converse with the officials who work there. I talked to the COO, a Director, an Executive Search Consultant, the Senior Vice President, and a brief meeting with the CEO herself. I asked everyone how they got to where there are now and what steps it took for them. I learned that with many people, the path of life is not and never will be clearly defined with a direct set of steps to achieve a certain goal and that people change and may realize different goals that they had not recently been aware was there. I learned a lot about biotech companies, but more importantly, I learned about the reality of getting from point A to point B in life is not always clear and direct.
