Things I enjoyed in each class:
In English, I really enjoyed learning about the evolution of English linguistics and how it originated from older variations. I thought it was neat to learn about how we got to the language that we speak now and how it differs from old English yet has similarities.
History was probably the most significant and influential class in this exhibition because the whole premise and outline of what we were learning in each class was based on a historical time period of the renaissance. History was the most interesting class because most aspects of the renaissance were taught and understood in this class. I really enjoyed this class since history is one of my favorite subjects.
My favorite thing about math was how it tied into chemistry. I thought it was neat to be able to scale up really small objects that start at an atomic level.
In chemistry, I liked learning about adobe illustrator in our efforts to make jewelry of proportionately scaled up molecules. I also thought that the content was really interesting albeit difficult and consistently challenging.

If I had to rate the difficulty of this exhibition on a scale of 1-10, I would rate it maybe a 5 or so. This project was not terribly challenging, maybe due in part to my interest in the topic of the renaissance. If I were disinterested in the work we were doing, I don't feel like it would have been as easy to comprehend thus making the project more difficult. I did not think the project was easy. It was a lot of work, however I enjoyed most of the work and it was very goal oriented which made it easy to go from one thing to the next and achieve a large goal step by step.
The most difficult part of the project I would say was actually the lack of instructions. By that I mean the large amounts of freedom we were given was a little overwhelming at times and the entirety of the success of the exhibition was tossed into the hands of the students who had initially relied on teachers to arrange a showcase of our work in a neat fashion. At first, the freedom to prepare the exhibition however we wanted was a huge weight loaded on our backs. We were dependent on teachers before, but when given our independence and freedom to make it however we wanted, we were shocked, yet we quickly got on our feet and worked toward making a sublime exhibition presentation and asked teachers for help when we really needed. The teachers were of course helpful, but they left most of the creative design to the students. At first it was scary to have the fate of the whole project in our hands, but we pulled through and found it enjoyable along the way.
For the required writing piece for the project, I received feedback from my table group and I asked my friends to look over it to make sure it was ready to be displayed on exhibition. Most of the feedback I got was pretty helpful. The feedback usually concerned grammatical errors, ensuring that the language was proper for the time period, and spelling checks. The content in the paper had to be something that the character we represented would have on them. A portion of the critique was simply verifying that the character would have the documents we created.
I was proud of how my writing piece turned out. It was accurate to the time period it was meant to portray and I felt that it came out aesthetically pleasing. In my opinion, it was properly characteristic of the person I represented. Everything about it fit the requirements and went above and beyond in some elements. I made it look even more in place with the time period by tea staining it. This was a creative element that wasn't required and I am proud of that. I am pleased with my work.
Overall, I am more than satisfied with the way our exhibition turned out. The decorations exceeded my expectations and it was really neat to see my friends and peers don costumes and get really involved with their character. Our station was set up nicely. I enjoyed most everything about the exhibition and how it all turned out. I was on top of all of my work and I was prepared. Everyone was quite knowledgeable on whom they represented and on the topic of the renaissance in general. A lot of people came up to me on exhibition night and fired an endless barrage of questions of all sorts of varying levels of difficulty; not one did I fail to answer. I am pleased with how exhibition went for me personally and all of the interactions I had. This was one of the best exhibitions I've participated in.
If I had to change one thing about this exhibition, I would have sought to tie in chemistry and math a bit more into the final exhibit. In math and chemistry, we scaled up molecules and honestly I can't say I remember seeing our final dilation diagrams displayed anywhere. I'm not quite sure how they could have tied in more to the historical period of the renaissance, but I feel like it could have been achieved somehow.
I really did learn an enormous amount of information about the history and lasting impact of the renaissance as well as what constituted it. I already knew quite a bit about the topic since I did enjoy it myself before the project, however, this exhibition has greatly broadened my understanding of the period and many other things. I feel like at this point I could lead a conversation for ages on the topic with everything we've learned and everything I'd known before. This truly was a fun project and I gleaned a lot of knowledge from it. It was overall a good time.
